BYU remains undefeated since beginning of last year

Cougars took down a solid, but unranked Chapman team in Vegas over the weekend. They sit at 6-0 and now have six games in a row against teams that are currently unranked. Back-to-back undefeated seasons is very much in play this year.

Northeastern continues to win on the road

The Huskies travelled to Colorado over weekend and took down the Buffs and the Rams in back to back days, both games by one goal. Grad student Wynton Bastian is leading the team with 17 goals and 11 assists and goalie Sam Bellomy has 64% save percentage on the year. They have this week off before playing their lone remaining ranked game against Liberty in two weekends.

Cal Poly off to best start since 2020

The Mustangs finished No. 1 in the final poll of the 2020 season after they went 6-0. They find themselves 6-0 again after beating Arizona State last Friday by one goal. The attack line of Ryan Sanders, Sean Waterman, and Will Hagman each have 19+ points. This weekend they play Sonoma State, a team receiving votes who also took No. 10 SDSU to overtime. With a win they’ll move to 3-0 in the WCLL

Florida keeps finding ways to win

Auburn kept it close all game, but the Gators pulled ahead late to win 9-7. They are now 6-1 with their lone loss being to Georgia back in the second week of the season. Goalie Kyle Iamsuri has improved his save percentage from 43% last year to now 62% in his first year as the full time starter. They now sit at No. 4 in the first MCLA poll.

Utah Valley waiting for next ranked game

The Wolverines are in the Top 5, but have only played three games this year, with their last game being a loss to Florida two weeks ago. They play Boise State this weekend and then head to California for Spring Break to take on two Top 15 teams in SDSU and UCSB.

Liberty goes 2-0 to move up in the poll

Flames dropped their first game to Virginia Tech and are now on a four game win streak after beating Georgia Tech and Texas. UMass transfer FOGO Caleb Hammet only lost a single draw against the Longhorns and is winning over 80% of his faceoffs on the season. All-American grad student Keaton Mohs has 32 points on the year, 21 being assists.

Florida State keeps momentum going

After letting up 23 to Utah Valley two weeks ago, the Seminoles bounced back to beat Texas the next day. They now add a Top 10 win after beating Georgia in Athens. Goalie Sayre McMahon made 19 saves and only let up 4 goals. Attackman Andrew Zeman and Tyler Morris are both Top 10 in the country in points with 34 and 33. They also beat defending UMLC Champs Michigan State 13-5 at home.

San Diego start conference play with a win

The Aztecs took down conference opponent Arizona 17-10. First Team All-American FOGO Tristan Keyser went 72% on faceoffs and attackman Grayer Lenhouts had a career high nine points. They have an interesting match-up this weekend against No. 20 TCU who is 5-0 and just beat previously ranked South Carolina on the road.

Texas wins crazy comeback, spilt weekend

After being down 8-1 at halftime Texas came back to beat Virginia Tech in Blacksburg 13-12. The team was dealing with multiple injuries, but attackman Morry Stein stepped up and had five goals and an assist. Stein put up eight points the next game against Liberty, but the team fell short in the end losing 14-12.

Virginia Tech get first out of conference win

Hokies improve their at-large resume with a win over Georgia Tech at home. Eight different players recorded a point, including All-American LSM Kyle Sudler who had a goal and an assist. They dropped their third OOC game the day before against Texas, but have the chance to get more against Chapman this weekend. They still lead the ALC thanks to a Week 1 win over Liberty.

Tennessee makes late comeback to save conference record

Down 8-1 in the first and down three goals with a minute left, the Vols never gave up and beat James Madison in overtime to move to 3-0 in ALC. Without leading scorer Logan Aiello, sophomore Tommy Gies stepped up and scored four goals including the game winner. FOGO Max DeMella did not lose a single face-off and has only lost seven total on the season.

UCSD picks up three Top 10 wins over weekend

The Tritons are now at No. 3 in the DII poll after beating No. 5 FAU, No. 8 Northwest Nazarene, and No. 9 Utah State in Idaho over the weekend and move to 4-0 on the season. All-American attackman Austin Ortel has 32 points on the season and freshman goalie Kian Gulbrandsen has a 69% save percentage.
